18th Annual HCTRC Research Symposium
October 21st, 2026
The International and Interdisciplinary Health Care Transition Research Consortium (HCTRC) in collaboration with the 27th Annual Chronic Illness and Disability Conference, Transition from Pediatric to Adult-based Care is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for researchers to be presented at the 18th Annual HCTRC Research Symposium in Houston, Texas, on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026.
Our international panel of judges will review all HCTRC submissions.
The categories of HCTRC abstracts for presentations (platform and poster) or breakout sessions include the following categories:
- Adolescent/Emerging Adult/Family Experience
- Continuous Quality Improvement/Program Development/Models of Care
- Health Provider or Patient/Caregiver Education
- Health Care Transition Outcomes and Readiness
- Self-Management
- Mental Health-focused Transition Preparation and Planning
- Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- Innovations in Practice

The Health Care Transition Journal invites submissions for its upcoming [Issue/Event] focused on Health Care Transition Readiness (HCTR). We are seeking innovative, high-quality research on the measurement of HCTR; intervention studies to improve HCTR; models for integrating HCTR into clinical programs; and studies of the reliability and validity (criterion, construct, etc.) of HCTR measurement instruments. We welcome both theoretical and empirical papers, as well as case studies, that contribute to field. |

All the submissions deemed suitable to be sent for peer review will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Upon its editorial acceptance, your article will go into production immediately. It will be published in the latest regular issue, while be presented on the specific Special Issue webpage simultaneously. In regular issues, Special Issue articles will be clearly marked and branded |
